Stephen Douglas  Shelton
Stephen Douglas Shelton, 50, of Paris, AR passed from this earth, Sunday, October 2, 2016 in Paris, AR. he was born May 21, 1966 in Little Rock, AR.
He is survived by his wife, Angie Reynolds Shelton of Paris; two daughters, Jessica Dawn Smith (Phillip) of Sherwood and Raquel Dawn Billiot (Kyle) of Conway; two step-sons, James Creed Wells, II of Fayetteville and Jesse Chandler Wells of Paris; his parents, J.D. and Betty Shelton of Alma; one brother Jimmy Scott Shelton (Jennifer) of Alma; one sister, Sharon Shelton Haney (Michael) of El Dorado, AR; 3 grandchildren, Chloe Jones, Barrett Cox and Emerie Billiot and a step great granddaughter, Harlee Smith.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, C.S. and Eva Shelton and W.S. and Pearlie Mott.
Stephen graduated from Norphlet High School in Norphlet, AR in 1984. He worked as a stocker at Walgreens and later a lab technician at Cooper Tire, both in El Dorado. He married in 1985 and moved to Little Rock where he studied Chemistry and Psychology at UALR. He held jobs as Quality Control Technician during the building of the hydro electric dam on the Arkansas River and Quality Assurance at Pirelli Tire and Smith Fiberglass. It was during these years in Little Rock that his daughters, Jessica and Raquel were born.
Moving to Louisiana in 1997, he worked at GNB Batteries in Bossier City and then Walgreens as an Assistant Manager before he was proudly promoted to Manager of his own store in Alexandria, LA
He returned to Arkansas in 2005. He met and married Angie, and took on a new challenge as a step-father to James and Jesse. He was employed as a QA Tech at Exide Technologies in Ft. Smith and most recently at Cloyes Gear and Products, Inc in Paris, AR as a Metrology Supervisor.

Stephen loved music. He was an avid drummer and was currently learning guitar. He attended Northside Pentecostal Church. He will be remembered for his quick wit, contagious smile, outgoing personality, inquisitive mind and vast knowledge of random facts.
Visitation will be Wednesday, from 5:00 - 7:00, at Ocker Funeral Home in Alma.
Funeral will be held 1:00 P.M. , Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Northside Pentecostal Church in Fort Smith with Pastor Tim Sullivan and Reverend Scott Shelton officiating. Burial will be at Smackover Cemetery in Smackover, AR at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 7, 2016 under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
Pallbearers will be Creed Wells, I, Jamie Wells, Billy Warnock, Phillip Smith, Kyle Billiot, Michael Haney, Stu Mott and Steve Campbell.
