James Richard “Peach” McFarland, 63, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2016 in his home. He was born on August 4, 1953 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Roy and Betty (Beckel) McFarland Sr. He retired after 20 years as a yard manager for Maverick, Inc. Peach was an avid outdoorsman he especially loved hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Teddy McFarland. He was of the Christian faith.

The family will be holding a private memorial gathering this Sunday afternoon.

He is survived by a daughter, Julie McFarland-Ordonez and her husband Manuel of Fort Smith, AR; a son, Richard McFarland of Fort Smith, AR; two brothers, John McFarland and his wife Kim of Fort Smith, AR and Roy McFarland Jr. and his wife Susie of Hutchinson, KS; one grandson, Aaron Ordonez and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Sebastian County Humane Society 3800 Kelley Highway, Fort Smith, AR 72904.

Cremation was under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
