Robert Simmons, 75, of Van Buren, Arkansas passed away Friday, August 12, 2016 in a local nursing home. He was a welder for Norman Welding Company, and a member of Second Baptist Church in Van Buren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Virginia (Speaker) Simmons; and a brother Garland Simmons.

Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren, Arkansas. No formal service will be held at this time.

He is survived by two daughters, Teresa Yarbrough and husband, Ronnie and Paula Tuck and husband Dennis both of Van Buren; two sons, Shannon Simmons and wife Brandie of Van Buren and Shawn Adams of Fort Smith; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
