Dickie Thell Arnold, 64, of Kibler, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2016 in Little Rock. Dickie was a farmer and heavy equipment operator and resident of Crawford County the majority of his life. Playing guitar and writing music was a hobby and way of life for Dickie and he frequently played and recorded music in the community. The Earth and its soil was a part of Dickie's culture whether he was farming or moving dirt for construction and he carried over his love for his work into his music, where his guitar "handle" was "Dirt Man."
A lifelong Christian, Dickie had an amazing testimony and most recently gave a message on Father's Day 2016 at the New Hope Methodist Church in the Oak Grove Community (where he was a member and also played guitar). He spoke about the importance of time and Ecclesiastes 3:1, "To everything there is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven," and during the sermon Dickie told the small congregation, "Don't worry; I have learned not to worry about when my time will come—God has a season for us all."

Dickie was preceded in death by his parents, Zell and Gussie Arnold of Kibler, and one sister, Sherri Kay Mason of Kibler. He is survived by his daughter, Amber Arnold of Spiro, Oklahoma; three sisters Zelda Coleman of Kibler, Joy Megehee of Greenwood, and Meredith "Cricket" Arnold of Kibler; and one brother Dee Arnold of Van Buren.

The family greatly appreciates all concerns, prayers, and love from friends. Per Dickie's request, the family will host a small private service.

Arrangements and Cremation are under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren, Arkansas.
