Donald Rex Sampley, 63, of Van Buren, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2016 in a local hospital. He was a retired truck driver for Wilson Brothers Automotive in Alma. He was preceded in death by his parents Melton & Imogene (Alumbaugh) Sampley, four brothers Charles, Eddy, Danny and Melton Sampley.

Graveside service will be 10AM, Wednesday, May 25 2016 at Houston Cemetery near Altus under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

He is survived by a daughter Tabithea Ledbetter and husband Rodney of Fort Smith; a son Danny Sampley of Muldrow; two sisters Cassie Woods and Shirley Ann Jackson, both of Spiro; two brothers, Joe Sampley of Van Buren and Sherman Sampley of Alma; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Family will visit with relatives and friends Tuesday, May 24, 2016 from 6-8 PM at Ocker Funeral Home 700 Jefferson Street Van Buren.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Ledbetter, Noah Ledbetter, Jamie Sampley, Joe Sampley, Justin Lingo and Justin Sampley.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Sampley, Austin Cowin, Manuel Dias, Manual Dias and Eddie Sampley, Jr.
