Jewel Charlene Stites, 79 of Van Buren passed away Monday, November 23, 2015 in a local hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of the Fort Smith Assembly of God Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Vernal Lee Stites.

Funeral service will be at 10 am Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

She is survived by five daughters, Linda Graham and Hazel Nguyen both of Fort Smith, Sharlet Do, Melissa Dodson and Jewel Knight all of Van Buren; three sons, Jerry Stites of Kibler, Billy Stites of Fort Smith, Wayne Stites of Pocola, OK; two sisters, Diane Chambers and JoAnn Sexton both of Osceola, AR; one brother, Hershel Lee Mills of Memphis, AR; twenty three grandchildren; forty four great grandchildren; Six great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be James Stites, Dee Chang, Vu Nguyen, Gaylan Miller, Timothy Miller and Anthony Nguyen.

Family will visit with relatives and friends Friday, November 27, 2015 from 5-7 pm at Ocker Funeral Home 700 Jefferson Street Van Buren.
