Life Story for Kenneth Bruce Lockard

Kenneth Bruce  Lockard
Kenneth Bruce Lockard, of Mountainburg, Arkansas passed away Thursday; October 8, 2015 at his home in Mountainburg on Cartwright Mountain. Kenneth was born September 20, 1935 in Chester, Arkansas to John Edward (Ed) and Vesta (Harrison) Lockard. Kenneth Bruce was a member of the Chester Freewill Baptist Church.
Kenneth attended school in Chester and Mountainburg. Following school, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps. In July 13, 1955 spending most of his time in Japan. He received his honorable discharge from the Marine Corps on July 13, 1960. Kenneth went to work for Fayetteville Hiland Dairy and worked there for 29 years, retiring in 2000. Kenneth, or better known as Bruce, loved to help people with genealogy and was contacted by the Mountainburg Librarian often to help people all over the United States. He was well known for stories about the town of Chester and the people. Some of the same stories were told differently at times but people still loved to hear them.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Peggy Meyers of Van Buren and brothers Earl Lockard of Stillwell and Jim Cradduck of Payette, Idaho. Surviving Kenneth is wife Ailene (Sweet) Lockard of the home in Mountainburg. Sons, Kenneth Wayne and wife Brenda of Tontitown, Jeffery Scott of Springdale, William Hershall and wife Penny of Huntsville, Ronnie Coleman and wife Rebecca of Edmond and daughter Sheila Yonce and husband Don of Frisco, Texas; sister in law, Mary Cradduck of Payette, Idaho and Shirley Carlton of Westville, Oklahoma; one brother in law, Paul Fishinghawk of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; fifteen special grandchildren and four precious great grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews, friends and special neighbors.
