Bura Gene Carver, 67, of Fort Smith, AR passed away on Saturday August 22, 2015 in a local hospital. He was born March 4, 1948 to the late Bura J. and Pauline (Stafford) Carver in Hollywood, CA. He was a retired automotive mechanic, a U.S. Navy Seabee’s veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the VFW in California.
He is survived by one daughter, Jackie Williamson and her husband Michael of Fort Smith; two sons, James Carver and his wife Nichole of California and Jesse Carver and his wife Sara of California; two grandchildren, Jacob and Jordan Enoch both of Fort Smith;a sister Joyce Loux of Pocola, OK and his former wife and best friend, Lois McCleary of Fort Smith.
Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday August 26, 2015 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home Chapel of Fort Smith with burial with full military honors in the U.S. National Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tommy, David and Cledis Evans, Leon Turner, David Nauman, Doug Farris and Jacob Enoch.
The Family will visit with friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
