Jeannine and Tom Hunter
Ken had a smile: his eyes twinkled when he flashed it.
Made you feel good, lifted your spirits, made you smile.
Ken had a voice: deep, masculine. Made for the mike.
The kind guys would love to have.
Or at least borrow to woo a fair maiden.
Ken had a laugh: you heard it often.
A loud and boisterous roar.
Or a soft and gentle chuckle.
Made no difference, you loved um both.
Ken had a swagger: John Wayne like.
Unique and distinctive.
He was big and bold.
He was gentle and quiet.
Ken made us laugh: whether we wanted to or not.
Wasn't a consideration.
He just made us forget our troubles.
Ken made us cry: he moved on too soon.
Way too soon.
We will miss him.
But in days to come:
when his thoughts cross our minds,
we'll get a little twinkle in our eye,
a little smile on our face,
a little bounce in our step.
That Ken, he was a great guy to know.
