Vestal Dee Wood, 76, of Uniontown, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015 in a local hospital. He was a general laborer at Fort Chaffee, a U.S. Navy veteran during the Vietnam war; a member of the Baptist Church in Van Buren; a lifelong resident of Crawford County and a past cemeterian of Dripping Springs Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his mother Beulah Davis, his father Estal Wood and his stepfather Frank Johnson.

Funeral services will be 10 AM, Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Dripping Springs in Uniontown under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

He is survived by his wife Joyce of the home; one daughter Cindi Bradford of Short, OK; one son Jeff Davis of Van Buren; two brothers Doyle Wood and Lowell Johnson of Van Buren; two grandchildren Rose & Nathan Davis both of Cedarville.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Davis, Alan Hutchins, Steven Ray, Jerold Yancey, Mike Yancey and Steve Rose.
