Mary Pendleton Bridges, 86, of Lavaca, Arkansas passed away on Monday, April 13, 2015 in a local hospital. She was born on September 9, 1928 in Bonanza, Arkansas to Paul and Pearl (Johnson) Nemeth. She was retired from Planters Peanuts, after retirement she became a caregiver to many friends and family members. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Bridges and by the father of her six children, John H. Pendleton. Mary was one of 17 children and had a strong sense of family and showed that by her devotion to her children, grandchildren and brothers and sisters.
A family held memorial service will be 11:00Am Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Enterprise Free Will Baptist Church in Lavaca. The family will have a private burial at a later date. Cremation was under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
She is survived by two daughters, Cheryll Corbell and her husband Buddy of Lavaca, AR and Diana Fiori and her husband Ed of Fort Smith, AR; four sons, John H. Pendleton, Jr. and his wife Karin of Fort Smith, AR, Thomas Pendleton and his wife Debra of Shreveport, LA and Dean Pendleton and Bill Pendleton and his wife Cathie both of Fort Smith, AR; four sisters, Lila Nemeth of Bonanza, AR, Irene Perry of Fort Smith, AR, Marjorie Bradshaw of Pocola, OK and Margaret Elmore of Santa Clara, CA; four brothers, Joseph Nemeth of Waco, TX, Victor Nemeth of Huntington Beach, CA, Nelson Nemeth of Scottsdale, AZ and Charles Nemeth of Long Beach, CA; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
