Miriam Chi, 46 of Van Buren passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015 in a local hospital. She was owner/operator of Chica’s Boutique in Fort Smith. She loved to serve the Hispanic community through her radio talk show and she was a Van Buren resident for seventeen years. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Alma. She was preceded in death by her father, Jesus Peraza.

Funeral service will be at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at 3 PM Monday, March 16, 2015 at Forest Park Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

She is survived by her husband, Eleazar Chi of the home; two daughters, Tracy Arriola and Erica Chi both of Van Buren; her mother, Catarina Calderon of Fort Smith; one sister, Sonia E. Benavides of Van Buren; one brother, Jose Orlando Peraza of Los Angeles, CA; two grandchildren, Ruben & Briella Arriola of Van Buren.

Pallbeareres will be Eleazar Chi, Raudel Benavides, Ruben Arriola, Kelvin Benavides, Bryant Rodriguez and Jose Orlando Peraza.

Family will visit with relatives and friends Sunday, March 15, 2015 from 4 PM at Ocker Funeral Home 700 Jefferson Street, Van Buren.
