Obituary for James Ralph McClure

James Ralph  McClure
James Ralph McClure, 92 of Van Buren passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2015 in his home. He was a farmer and a former board member of the State Farm Bureau and Crawford County Farm Bureau; Arkansas Oklahoma Farmers Coop Board; Founding member of Oak Grove Water Users Board; Former Board member of Western Arkansas Guidance and Counseling and a lifelong resident of Crawford County; he served on the Van Buren School Board from 1960 to 1968. He was a member and deacon of Oak Grove Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Arminta (Schaible) McClure; both parents, J.O. and Icie (Woodruff) McClure; two sisters, Lucille Lee and Ruth Joyce; one brother, Clyde McClure.

Funeral service will be Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Van Buren with burial at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

He is survived by one daughter, Nancy McClure of Van Buren; three sons, Jim C. McClure and wife, Sandra, Carroll McClure all of Van Buren, Terrill McClure and wife, Jo of Alma; five grandchildren, Michele Green, Michael McClure, Sebrina Williams, Minta Humble and Ryan McClure; one sister-in-law, Billie Jean McClure of Van Buren.

Pallbearers will be Michael McClure, Ryan McClure, Steven Green, Todd Humble, Lance Williams and Jeremy Goforth.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Deacons of Oak Grove Baptist Church and Senior Adult Men’s Sunday School Class.

Family will visit with relatives and friends Friday, March 13, 2015 from 6-8 PM at Ocker Funeral Home 700 Jefferson Street Van Buren.
