He was the best father in law a person could ever have. I was privileged to have known him these past nine years. I will miss the way he always joked around with me.

Condolence: Hello Reyes,

First, please accept my condolences on your loss. There are few people that I have been fortunate enough to have crossed paths with in my lifetime that made a fond lasting impression. Your dad was one of those people for me and I am certain, many, many others as well.

Your dad was indeed a very rich man as he left this earth! I met him many years ago when I worked for Ronnie Coble's State Farm office in Van Buren. It was always a pleasure visiting with him while he waited to talk to Ronnie about his insurance needs. I told him that you and I were classmates and he just beamed with pride! He always spoke lovingly of his family and you could see how proud of you he was! He always was well dressed, quiet spoken, non-assuming and very humble. I loved seeing him coming thru our door! He is one of very few people that I can honestly vividly fondly recall meeting! He was just that kind of a man. It was like meeting an old friend and catching up each time he came into the office.

I never knew of his accomplishments outside of what was apparent... he was a very family oriented man and always spoke very loving of his family and he was retired military. I now live in the Seattle area but just happened to read the SWTR and saw his obituary. I was truly very saddened to read of his passing but was amazed of his accomplishments! Your dad to me was just that very kind, humble and very unassuming man that I was fortunate enough to have met and befriended now so many years ago. I can still see him and hear his voice type of memory of him...

I just read your letter you sent to your sister about your dad. I absolutely loved it!! You were so blessed and fortunate to have had such a wonderful man as your father, your friend and mentor!!

Condolence: I remember to this day the first time that I met you and how sad that day was because of the death of your son. Your faith and dedication always impressed me and while your last days may not have been as you and the family might have expected, we know that your love and goodness will not go unrewarded. And me replying " your favourite daughter!" And you saying " Which one?" And me saying " I better be the ONLY one!" And you'd always laugh knowing you irritated me!
