Obituary for Patricia Ann Benham (Davis)

Patricia Ann  Benham (Davis)
Patricia Ann Benham of Mulberry died Wednesday, January 28 in Fort Smith at the age of 77. She was born in Howarth, Oklahoma to Clyde and Ruth Davis.
Pat was passionate in her interests: a career Navy wife who supported her husband and children through many moves; a dedicated teacher who at the age of 52 received her college degree to serve children; a gardener who loved to create beautiful landscapes; a follower of sports who never shied away from helping the officials make the right call; a soft heart who loved pets and took in those who needed a home; and a wonderful grandparent who showered love on her grandkids and great grandkids.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Neal Benham; her son Doug Benham and his wife Carey of Atlanta, GA; her daughter Robin Benham of Fort Smith; two grandsons, Benjamin Kirksey and his wife Rachel of Fayetteville and Mason Kirksey and his wife Eva of Bentonville; three great grandchildren, Rhett and Jude Kirksey of Fayetteville and Lauren Kirksey of Bentonville.
Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, January 31st at Ocker Funeral Home in Alma. Visitation will be Friday, January 30th from 5:30-7 pm at the funeral home. The family asks in lieu of flowers, please help support one of the causes near and dear to Pat’s heart: The River Valley Regional Food Bank, 1420 North 32nd Street, Fort Smith, AR 72904.
