Obituary for Ron Clifton

Ron  Clifton
Ron Clifton, 61, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2015 in his home. He was born on October 26, 1953 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Roy and Patsy (Newton) Clifton. He graduated from Southside High School in 1971 and was the owner and operator of Clifton Body Shop. Through his life he had been a hunter and bass fisherman and an avid motorcycle enthusiast. He was a member of HOG (Harley Owners Group), the NRA, and was a Storyteller for the Crazy Horse Memorial. He was a Christian and a member of Evangel Temple.
Funeral services are 1:00PM Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Evangel Temple with burial to follow in Oak Cemetery under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon of the home, one son, Jamie Jones and his wife Julie of Fort Smith, AR; his mother Patsy Clifton of Clinton, AR; one granddaughter, Leticia Parga Jones of Fort Smith, AR; two sisters, Vivian Balance of Blanca, CO and Rebecca Merryman of Clinton, AR; two brothers, Ed and Doug Clifton both of Fort Smith, AR; a special brother, Tony Ludlow of Memphis, TN and a sister in law, Joni Ludlow Beaty of Fort Smith, AR.
Pallbearers are Jamie, Mike and John Jones, Jason Pendleton, John Mobley, Jr. and Keith Miller.
Honorary pallbearers are Chris Shepherd and the employees of Clifton Body Shop.
The family will visit with friends from 5-7PM on Friday evening at the funeral home.
