Levi Stewart  Taylor

Levi Stewart Taylor, 82, of Greenwood, AR formerly of Fort Smith passed away on Saturday December 20, 2014 in his residence. He was born on July 26, 1932 to Levi “L.J.” and Clara Richardson Taylor. He was a retired Manager of Welders Supply Company and a retired Security Officer for Burns Security at Planters Peanut. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Van Buren, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and an avid ham radio operator. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Taylor.
He is survived by one daughter, Barbara Cox and her husband Darin of Greenwood; four grandchildren, Heather Cox McGee, Nathan, David and Derek Cox all of Greenwood; three great-grandchildren, Annabelle Grace Cox, Elizabeth Ann McGee and Jordan Faith Cox.
Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday December 23, 2014 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home Chapel of Fort Smith with burial in U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith.
Pallbearers will be Nathan, David and Derek Cox, Pat Feight, Robert Burris and Royce Rainwater.
The Family will visit with friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Monday December 22, 2014 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
