Ira Hamilton Higgins 66 of Van Buren passed away Thursday, December 18, 2014 in a local hospital. He was a retired Truck Broker; a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his parents, Truman and Ruth (Brown) Higgins.

Graveside service will be at 10 AM Monday, December 22, 2014 at Sarah Grove Cemetery in Van Buren with military honors under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred (Henderson) Higgins of the home; two daughters, Angela Hawley of Warren, AR, Tracy Hudson of Fort Smith; two sons, James Higgins of Van Buren, John Creel of Mountainburg; one sister, Mamie Sisk of Fort Smith.

Family will visit with relatives and friends Sunday, December 21, 2014 from 4-5 P.M. at Ocker Funeral Home 700 Jefferson Street, Van Buren.
