Obituary for Melba Viola Squires

Melba Viola  Squires
Melba Viola Squires, 84, of Van Buren passed away Friday, November 28, 2014 at her home. She was a cashier at Peoples Warehouse Market and worked at Wonder Bread in Fort Smith. She was of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emerson Squires; her parents, Eston and Lora Smith; a son Ralph Dale Squires; three brothers; and one sister.

Funeral service will be 10 AM Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Ocker Memorial Chapel with burial at Chastain Cemetery north of Dyer under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren, Arkansas.

Survivors are two daughters, Billie Sue Berna of Alma, and Kathy E. Morgan of Van Buren; two sons, Terry A. Squires of Van Buren, and Rodney Squires of Alma; two sisters, Alvena Shelly of Van Buren and Nancy Parrish of Mulberry; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandchildren.

The family will visit with relatives and friends Monday December 1, 2014 from 6-8 PM at Ocker Funeral Home, 700 Jefferson Street, Van Buren, Arkansas.
