Laurel James “Coach” Neal, 69, of Pocola, Oklahoma passed away on Friday, November 21, 2014 in his home. He was born in Indio California on September 10, 1945. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War and was a self-employed technician in the heating and air business. He was a youth bowling league coach at both Midland Bowl and Bowling World.
Funeral services are 1:00PM, Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith with burial with honors to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce of the home, two daughters, Lisa Green and her husband Billy of Abbott, AR and Vicki Slone of Tulsa, OK; two sons, Larry Neal of Mt View, AR and Del Hampton of Fort Smith, AR; four sisters, Nora Cross of Muskogee, OK, Zelma Moore of Palm Springs, CA, Linda Casey of Arlington, TX and Marilyn Harris of Van Buren, AR; three brothers, Donald Neal of Poteau, OK, Larry Neal of Charlottesville, VA and Marion Ray Neal of Lompoc, CA; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Warren Cross, Rick Edwards, George Burlingston, John Neal, Billy Green, John Slone, David Heath and Jim Wooten.
The family will visit with friends from 5-7PM on Monday Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
