Olen Ray Smith, 70, of Mulberry, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 in his home. He was a self employed horse trainer, a lifelong resident of Crawford County, an employee of Abshere Excavating in Van Buren and of the Baptist faith. He was born March 4, 1944 in Mulberry, AR to the late Joseph and Mintha (Watkins) Smith and also preceded in death by one grandchild, one sister and three brothers.
Funeral service will be 11:00 A. M. Friday, November 14, 2014 at Ocker Chapel of Alma with interment in Pope Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Ocker Funeral Home, 917 Hwy. 64 East, Alma, AR.
Survivors include his wife Barbara Smith of the home; three daughters, Shannon Evans and husband Ronnie of Rudy, AR, Amanda Kilgore and husband Ryan of Mulberry and Connie Jo McCormick and husband Chris of Mulberry; one son, Timothy Forrest of Mulberry, AR; three sisters, Mildred Sims and husband Mike of Mountainburg, Kay Sims of Mountainburg, and Phyllis Wilson of Van Buren; three brothers, Bobby Smith and wife Johnnie of Van Buren, Harold Smith and wife Marie and Dale Smith all of Mountainburg; 6 Grandchildren 4 Great Grandchildren, Several Nieces and Nephews.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Kilgore, Chris McCormick, Timothy Forrest, Oliver Frazier, Troy Frazier and Gary Wayne Smith.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Don Ellison, Pete Watkins, Archie Reynolds, Phillip Pixley, Kenny Watkins and Jeff Smith.
