Phillip L.   Oldham
Phillip L. Oldham, 67, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2014 in a local hospital. He was born on July 1, 1947 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Tag and Nell (Grubbs) Oldham. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served on a carrier ship, a former U.S. Post Office mail handler and a member and deacon of Bluff Avenue Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and by one brother, Larry Oldham. Phillip had a love for fishing but the light of his life was his grandchildren.
Funeral services are 11:30AM Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Bluff Avenue Baptist Church with burial with honors to follow in the U.S. National Cemetery under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Hs is survived by his wife Martha of the home, one son, Michael Oldham of Fort Smith, AR; two grandchildren, Keaton and Annalynn of Fort Smith and one brother, Dennis Oldham of Cookson, OK.
Pallbearers are Michael and Dennis Oldham, Jody Grizzle, Odie Dobbs, Jerry Hicks and Richard Whitaker.
The family will visit with friends from 5-7PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
