Johnny Ray Burton, 68 of Van Buren passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2014 in a local hospital. He was employed by Crain Industries; a wonderful family man and a longtime resident of Crawford County. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dooley and Irene (Harris) Burton; one sister and one brother.

Funeral service will be 2 PM Friday, October 31, 2014 at Antioch Cemetery Pavilion with burial at Antioch Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

He was survived by his wife, Vivian (Beals) Burton of the home; two daughters, Linda Irene Ducote of Fort Smith, Carolyn Burton of Van Buren; two sons, Steven Burton of Van Buren, John Allen Burton of Alma, two sisters, Patsy Cook of Muldrow, OK, Gail Burton Fort Smith; two brothers, Donnie Burton of Roland, OK, David Burton of Fort Smith; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The family will visit with relatives and friends Thursday, October 30, 2014 from 6-8 P.M. at Ocker Funeral Home 700 Jefferson Street Van Buren.

Pallbearers will be Zach Burton, Randy Freeman, John Freeman, Raymond Freeman and David Andrew Burton.
