Winton’s beautiful wife Marta Lang Carson, 67, of Fort Smith, Arkansas departed this life on Monday, October 20, 2014 in a local hospital. She loved gospel music and Bible reading and traveling to see beautiful things. She loved all of her family members and was able to visit her family in Germany in May of this year. She was born in Sibiu, Romania to Michael and Sarah (Baak) Lang on February 17, 1947. She married Winton Gayle Carson on April 21, 1984 in Talmaciu, Romania. While living in Romania she was a textile worker and was a member of Christians According to the Gospel Church. She married Winton Gayle Carson on April 21, 1984 in Talmaciu, Romania and they made their home in Fort Smith, Arkansas. While living in Fort Smith she was a homemaker and attended Wheeler Avenue Church of Christ.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Friday, October 24, 2014 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home Chapel of Fort Smith with burial to be held at Oak Cemetery. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the service.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years Winton Carson of the home; two sisters, Krista Orelt of Nuremberg, Germany and Erika Paulini of Cadolzlburg, Germany; one brother, Johannes Lang of Winnenden, Germany and 14 nieces and nephews.
