Melba Willene Hughes 82, of Van Buren passed away Sunday October 5, 2014 in a local hospital. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband William Hughes, her parents, Frank & Nannie (Asbill) Walters and four brothers, James, Roy, Wayne, and Robert Walters.

Graveside service will be 2PM Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at the US National Cemetery Pavilion in Fort Smith under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren, Arkansas.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary Foley of Van Buren; one brother, Billy Walters and wife, Weda of Alma; two Grandsons, Jerry Foley & wife, Donna, Brad Foley & wife, Becky all of Alma, one great granddaughter and three great grandsons.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Walters, Ray Carpoza, Keith Hunter, and Jerry Foley.
