Obituary for Jackie Eugene White

Jackie Eugene  White
Jackie E. White, 75 of Alma, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2014 in his home. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Alma. He retired after serving 20 years with the Seabees of the U.S. Navy as a Chief Petty Officer and was in the Vietnam War. He owned and operated Jack White Construction Company. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, four-wheeling and traveling. He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Mary Elizabeth (Peerson) White, his paternal grandparents Lewis and Kate White and his maternial grandparents Carl and Betty Peerson .

Graveside services will be 11 AM, Saturday, September 20, 2014 with full military honors at Pope Cemetery in Mulberry, Arkansas under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Loetta White of Alma, a daughter, Pam Dean of Alma; Two sons Jimmy White of Mountainburg and Scotty White of Alma; Two brothers Harlan White of Tulsa and Dick White of Greenwood; Two sisters Jeanie Counts of Van Buren and Phyllis Wells of Marion; Three Grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 19, 2014 from 5-8 PM at Ocker Funeral Home in Alma.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are welcome at Alma Community Outreach Center.
