Obituary for David L. Jackson

David L.  Jackson
David L. Jackson, 66 of Bidville passed away Friday, September 12, 2014 at his home. He was retired from the Sebastian County Deputy Sheriff Office in Fort Smith; a U.S. Marine having served in the Vietnam War; a 20 year resident of Crawford County and he enjoyed working with his hands. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Funeral service will be 10:30 AM September 23, 2014 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

He is survived by his wife Janita “Nita” (White) Jackson of the home; three daughters, Sherri Jackson-Price of Buena Park, CA, Cassie Garrison of Camden, S.C., Kristin Elder of Hooks, TX; one son, Wesley Jackson of New Orleans, LA; one step-daughter, Kristy Petty of Rudy; one step-son, Joshua Boyakin of Van Buren; his parents, Robert & Norma Jackson of Norwalk, CA; two sisters, Christene Goodin of Sun Valley, CA, Mary Lane of Victorville, CA; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be

Family will visit with relatives and friends Sunday, September 21, 2014 2-4 pm at Ocker Funeral Home 700 Jefferson Street, Van Buren, Arkansas.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made for funeral expenses and a cash reward for information leading to the conviction of the responsible party at Bankcorp South C/O Anita Garrison P.O. Box 47 Fort Smith, Arkansas 72902 in David Jackson name.
