Ilean  Mae  Waynick (Turley)
Ilean Mae Waynick, 89, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2014 in a local nursing home. She was born in Valles Mines, MO to Thomas and Effie (Moore) Turley. She was employed in the insurance industry as a property underwriter. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Fort Smith, AR, a past president of the Festus United Methodist Women, PEO and the Quilters Circle in both First United Methodist Church in Festus, MO and Bethel United Methodist in Wildwood, MO.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, John A. Waynick of the home, two sons, John Andrew “Andy” Waynick and his wife Patty of Dallas, TX and Mark Waynick and his wife Sandi of Fort Smith, AR one sister, Faye Sweeney of Jacksonville, FL: four grandchildren, Zoe Hartman and her husband Justin, Elizabeth “Beth” Waynick, Josh Waynick and Adam Waynick and one great grandchild, Naomi Hartman. The family would like to give a special thanks to her caregivers, Debbie Stevens, Nancy Organ, Peachtree Hospice and Methodist Health and Rehabilitation.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM, Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at St. Paul United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the U.S. National Cemetery under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, AR.
The family will visit with friends from 5-6:30 on Tuesday evening at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, AR.
