Irmgard “Irma” Elfriede Goodin, 90, of Barling, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2014 in Lavaca, Arkansas. She was born in Friedberg, Germany. She married David Goodin in Germany and they moved to the States. She was a retired sales associate for Dillard’s Department Store and was a member of the German Club of Fort Smith, and a member of the Community Church at Chaffee Crossing. She was preceded in death by her husband David Goodin. She will be missed and was loved by all who knew her.
She is survived by three sons, Thomas Goodin and his wife Nancy of Fort Smith, AR, Michael Goodin and his partner David Bronder of St. Petersburg, FL and Harald Grabler and his wife Hilde of Griesbeckerzell, Germany; one sister, Luis Goy of Friedberg, Germany, three grandchildren, Justin Sexton and his wife Laurie of Fort Smith, AR, Brittany Morse and her husband Brandon of Mulberry, AR and Claudia Liehr and her husband Walter of Ausburg, Germany and three great grandchildren, Rylee and Archer Sexton and Cooper Morse.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home with a private burial at the U.S. National Cemetery to follow. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
The family will visit with friend’s from5-7PM on Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
