Obituary for Mitchell Fountain

Mitchell Fountain, 91 of Van Buren passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2014 in a Springdale Nursing Home. He was a retired manager from Arkansas Oklahoma Gas Company after 39 years of service. He was an U.S. Army Veteran of WWII of the 29th Infantry serving in the Battle of the Bulge and Omaha Beach. He was a member of Van Buren 1st Assembly of God Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Vida; two sisters, Ruby Lairmore and Bernice Helton; one brother Wheeler Fountain.
Funeral services will be 2PM Monday, August 25, 2014 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Fairview Cemetery in Van Buren with military honors under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
He is survived by two daughters Janice Fountain Costes of Fayetteville and Genelle Newton of Greenwood; four grandchildren Brandon and Aaron Costes both of Fayetteville, Joshua Newton of Grovetown, GA, and Aaron Newton of Fort Smith; three great grandchildren.
Family will visit with relatives and friends Sunday, August 24, 2014 from 2-4 PM at Ocker Funeral Home 700 Jefferson Street Van Buren.
