Obituary for Marvin J. Ball, Sr.

Marvin J. Ball, Sr., 70, of Alma, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2014 in his home. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ, a former owner/operator of On The Spot Auto Glass, a U. S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, and a lifetime member of the DAV. He was born December 20, 1943 in Albany, OR to the late Junior and Helen (King) Ball.
Funeral service will be 12:30 p.m. Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Ocker Chapel of Alma with interment in U. S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to service, from 11:30 a.m. until service time at Ocker Funeral Home, 917 Hwy. 64 East, Alma, AR.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Darlene Ball of the home; two daughters, Debbie of Oklahoma City, and Melissa of Alma; one son, Marvin Jr. of Alma; one sister, Pam Hembree of Neosho, MO; two brothers, Terry and Randy Ball of Oklahoma; 8 beautiful grandchildren, Justin, J.J., Taylor, Aubree, Drew, Chayne, Chesnee and Brookelyn and 3 Great Grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Marvin Ball, Jr., Drew Ball, Justin Van Hooser, James, Reed, Terry Ball and Randy Ball.
