Obituary for Mae Dell "Ted" Wells (Kimes)

Mae Dell "Ted"  Wells (Kimes)
Mae Dell (Kimes) Wells, 73 of Fort Smith entered into eternal rest with our Lord and Savior Sunday, July, 13, 2014 in her home. She was born February 25, 1941 in Mulberry, Arkansas. She was a retired cook at the Fort Smith Public School System and a member of First Assembly of God Church in Van Buren. She was preceded in death by her son, Curtis Ray Young; both parents, Charlie and Bonnie (Wallace) Kimes; six sisters, Gladys Sheppard, Mae Scowden, Lona Mounce, Charline Kimes, Irene Mounce, Bonnie Piazza; one brother, Loyd Kimes.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

She is survived by her husband, Ron Wells of 45 years; one daughter, Debra Mae (Young) McIlvain and husband, Harold of Van Buren; two sons, Ronald Dewayne Wells, Christopher Brian Wells and wife, Alicia of Fort Smith; two sisters, Dottie Pierce of Alma, Stella Hubbard of Van Buren; one brother, Odell Kimes of Mulberry; one granddaughter, Caitlin Brianne Wells (KK) of Fort Smith; four grandsons, Randall Fitzwater, Thomas Young and Paul Gonzales all Fort Smith, Harold Wayne McIlvain II of Van Buren; one great grandson Drake Fitzwater of Van Buren.

Pallbearers will be J.L. Scowden, Van L. Scowden, Donnie Scowden, Ronnie Scowden, Kenneth Mounce, Barry Mounce and Kendall Mounce.

Family will visit with relatives and friends Wednesday, July 16, 2014 from 6-8 P.M. at Ocker Funeral Home 700 Jefferson Street, Van Buren.
