Leona Marie Barton, 69, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 in a local hospital. She was born in Buffalo, New York. She worked as a waitress for many years at Re-Pete’s and Three Pete’s. She was of the Baptist Faith.
Graveside services will be 11:00AM Friday, July 11, 2014 at Forest Park Cemetery under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
She is survived by her husband John Barton of the home; two daughters, Donna Sharp of Fort Smith, AR and Carrie Williams of Spiro, OK; three sons, John Ruth of Charleston, AR, John Barton, Jr. of CA and Matthew Barton of Fort Smith, AR and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are John Ruth, Bill Williams, Don Sharp, Nick Graves, B.J. Williams and Dub Mitchell.
The family will visit with friends from 6-8PM Thursday evening at the funeral home.
