Donna Ruth Shepard, 74, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2014 in a local hospice unit. She was born in Omaha, Nebraska. She was a homemaker and a former member of Abundant Life Tabernacle where she was the Secretary-Treasurer of the Food Bank. She currently was a member of the Glad Tidings Worship Center. She was preceded in death by her husband Johnnie K. Shepard.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the U.S. National Cemetery.
She is survived by her four sons, James Shepard and his wife JoAnne and Patrick Shepard and his wife Pamela both of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Donald Shepard and his wife Angie of Lowell, Arkansas and Steven Shepard and his wife Mickey of Springdale, Arkansas; three brothers, Jim Baker and his wife Mary of North Little Rock, Arkansas and Robert and Richard Baker both of Mulberry, Arkansas, 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 5-7PM on Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
