Carol A. Pennington, 69, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 in a local hospital. She was born in Quincy, Illinois to Gilbert and Jewell (Johnston) Sweet. She was a loving mother, loyal friend and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Warren “Buddy” Pennington, and a brother, Phillip Sweet.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, April 14, 2014 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with burial to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
She is survived by one daughter, Heather Laster of Fort Smith, AR; three sons, Brett Pennington and his wife Shelley of Houston, TX, Craig Pennington and his wife Janalyn of Houston, TX and Ethan Pennington and his wife Michelle of Springdale, AR; one brother, Dallas Factor of Quincy, IL and eleven grandchildren, Soren, Emily, Greyson, Gavin, Bailey, Kael, Blake, Caroline, Holly and Isaac Pennington and Avery Laster.
Pallbearers are Brett, Craig, Ethan and Soren Pennington, Dallas and Josh Factor.
The family will visit with friends from 3-5PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
