Amy Lee Powell, 90, of Van Buren, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014 in a local nursing home. She was a homemaker a member of the 43 Assembly of God Church. She attended Central Bible Institute and at one time she was an ordained minister for the Assembly of God Church with three years of active ministry and the rest of her life in Christian Education and Youth Ministry. She was preceded in death by her parents and eight brother and sisters.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren officiated by Reverend Randy Craigh with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
She is survived by her husband Quinton Powell of the home; one daughter Cathy Craig and her husband Randy of Van Buren; one son Danny Powell and his wife Debra of Houston, TX; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Family will visit with relatives and friends Tuesday, April 1, 2014 from 6-8 P.M. at Ocker Funeral Home 700 Jefferson Street Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Bruce Burcham, Randy Bible, J.R. Bowman, Harold Dean, Shannon Courtney, and Mark Craig.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Clarence Smith, Larry West, Bo Phillips, John Miller, Larry Jones, and Calvin Phillips.
